Partners Group Launches Global Special Opportunities Strategy

Partners Group has launched a special opportunities strategy, adding a new pillar alongside its existing private equity, infrastructure, private credit, real estate, and royalties platforms. The strategy is designed to capitalize on liquidity-driven opportunities emerging from market dislocation and balance-sheet stress across regions and asset classes.

The program will pursue three primary transaction types across corporate solutions, real assets, and other special situations, investing on a global basis. These include providing structured liquidity to founder-led or growth businesses, acquiring high-quality assets constrained by balance sheets, and delivering bespoke capital solutions where traditional financing is unavailable.

“We believe the coming economic transformation, amplified by continued macro-economic uncertainty, will offer a significant untapped market opportunity for special opportunities investments; the time is right to build on our track record with a dedicated team,” said Juri Jenkner, president of Partners Group.

To lead the new effort, Partners Group appointed Joshua Hartz as partner, joining from Bain Capital. Hartz brings 19 years of industry experience and is building a dedicated global investment team across the U.S., Europe, and Asia, fully integrated with the firm’s broader platform.

Partners Group manages more than $185 billion in assets under management globally across private markets strategies.
